Get A Free, Big, Four-Legged Friend This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – If you have been thinking about getting a dog, have you considered one that is mature and possibly already house-trained?

Miami-Dade County Animal Services is waiving adoption fees for large dogs over 35 pounds during the "Save Big, Love Big" large dog adoption weekend.

The event takes place from Friday, January 17 through Sunday, January 19, 2014.

All of the dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and microchipped.

To adopt, visit the shelter at 7401 NW 74th Street in Miami.

Free adoptions for large dogs will also be available on Saturday, January, 18 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. at Tropical Park, 7900 Bird Road, Miami.
