Woman Accused Of Sexually Molesting Pembroke Pines Boy

FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A family betrayed.

Keturah Gibson, 47, is accused of sexually molesting the 12-year old son of a friend over a six month period last year.

The boy told Pembroke Pines police that Gibson would come to his bedroom between the hours of 2 a.m. and 3 a.m. and wake him up. She would then kiss him and rub his chest before performing sexual acts on him, according to Gibson's complaint affidavit. The boy reportedly told police this happened between five and ten times from June to December 2012.

he boy also told investigators that Gibson told him not to tell anyone because they would get in trouble, according to police.

The alleged assaults came to light in January after Gibson allegedly told the boy's 14-year old brother that she had kissed and performed sexual acts on his younger brother. This revelation bothered the older so much, that he told his therapist about it on January 10th, according to police.

During questioning, Gibson denied ever performing sexual acts on the boy but did "recall that he had kissed her on the neck, lips, and attempted to place her hand on his buttocks on one occasion," according to the report. Gibson reportedly told police that it was the boy who came onto her and she liked the attention. She added that she never told the boy's parents about what had happened because she didn't want to get him in trouble, according to the report.

Gibson was released and told not to have any contact with the boy.

Investigators said Gibson tried to contact the boy through his older brother's instant messaging account. She told him she was in trouble because of what his brother told the therapist and if "this thing comes out," they "never ever" had sex, according to the report.

In a statement to police, the boy's therapist said when he spoke with Gibson about the claims, she "stated the incidents happened because she was very 'weak'," according to the report.  He said Gibson admitted that there were several times where she and the boy kissed each other and the boy sucked on her breast, according to the report. The therapist added that Gibson admitted to performing oral sex on the boy but denied ever having sex with him, according to police.

On January 12th, Gibson was questioned a second time by police and again denied ever having sex with the boy. She was placed under arrested and charged with several counts of lewd/lascivious battery, lewd/lascivious molestation and one count of tampering with a victim.
