Traffic Alert: Weekend Ramp Changes For SR 836/SR 826

DORAL (CBSMiami) – Get ready for yet another change on the busy Dolphin and Palmetto Expressways.

On Sunday, Jan. 12th, four new ramps will open from eastbound and westbound SR 836 to southbound SR 826.

The Florida Department of Transportation said the new ramps will allow drivers on SR 836 to access southbound SR 826, West Flagler Street and SW 8 Street.

WESTBOUND RAMPS

New Flyover Bridge From Westbound SR 836 To Southbound SR 826
Westbound SR 836 drivers going to southbound SR 826 past West Flagler or SW 8 Streets can access the new flyover bridge which is located one-half mile earlier, immediately after the existing SR 826 north ramp. Drivers on this ramp will not be able to access the West Flagler or SW 8 Street exits.

New Ramp From Westbound SR 836 To W Flagler And 8th Streets
Westbound SR 836 drivers going south on SR 826 to exit at West Flagler or SW 8 Streets can access the new ramp immediately after the old loop ramp and follow the signage to West
Flagler Street.

EASTBOUND RAMPS

New Bridge From Eastbound SR 836 To Southbound SR 826
Eastbound SR 836 drivers going to southbound SR 826 past West Flagler or SW 8 Streets can access the new southbound SR 826 bridge by exiting at the current southbound SR 826 ramp immediately after NW 87 Avenue. Drivers on this ramp will not be able to access the West Flagler or SW 8 Street exits.

New Ramp From Eastbound SR 836 To W Flagler And 8th Streets
Eastbound SR 836 drivers going south on SR 826 to exit at West Flagler or SW 8 Streets can continue on mainline eastbound SR 836 and use the new exit located approximately one half mile after NW 87 Avenue.

The opening of the new ramps also marks the opening of three new bridges, bringing the total of new bridges opened to date to 23 out of the 45 that are being built as part of this project.
