Street Closures For Annual Three Kings Parade

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- While Three Kings Day passed already, the celebration is still going in South Florida with the annual Three Kings Parade set for Sunday.

The parade officially starts at 12: 00 p.m. and ends  at 4:00 p.m. The celebration will travel along SW 8^th Street from 4^th Avenue to 17^th Avenue where it turns north and ends at SW 6^th Street.

Starting at 6:00 a.m. streets will be closed off and traffic will be diverted in certain areas.

According to City of Miami Police, eastbound traffic on SW 8^th Street from SW 19^th Ave to SW 4^th Ave will be closed.  Traffic traveling eastbound on SW 8^th Street will be detoured North or South at SW 19^th Ave.

By 10:30 a.m., all avenues will be closed. Southwest 12^th and SW 8^th Ave will remain open only for north and southbound traffic.  There will be no traffic allowed eastbound on SW 8^th Street.

If you want to take SW 7^th Street, it will remain open westbound until SW 12^th Ave.  At SW 12^th Ave, westbound traffic on SW 7^th Street will be detoured northbound.

For those who take public transportation, Miami-Dade Transit buses which normally travel along SW 8^th Street will be detoured.  Make sure to check with Miami-Dade Transit Agency for further information.

Residents that live in the area will be able to travel along SW 7^th Street on north side or SW 9^th Street on the south side.

At 6:00 p.m., SW 8^th Street will reopen.
