FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Miami Heat star Dwyane Wade is spreading a little Christmas cheer to ten deserving families.
On Sunday, Wade will join the families at a South Florida Publix store where they will be given $1,000 each to go on a shopping spree. Each family will be able to spend $500 on items at the super market and the remaining $500 may be spent on in-store gift cards from major retailers. Publix is covering half of the donations made to each family.READ MORE: Suspect Wanted For Armed Home Invasion In Critical Condition Following Police-Involved Shooting In SW Miami-Dade

At the end of the day The Collection, a car dealership in Coral Gables, will provide each family with their own escort to pick up and deliver all shopping spree items to their homes. The trunks of each vehicle will be filled with toys from a toy drive hosted by the dealership.MORE NEWS: Centner Academy Reverses Course On 30-Day Quarantine For Vaccinated Students
