MCH & "Live Like Bella" Team Up To Announce "Bella's Promise"

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – At just 10-years-old, Bella Rodriguez-Torres managed to inspire thousands with her smile and positive attitude despite a tumultuous battle with cancer. Bella passed away in May, but today—on her birthday—her name and spirit lives on in the hearts of many.

Miami Children's Hospital Foundation and The Live Like Bella Foundation have announced, on Bella's birthday, a partnership specially dedicated to raising for expanding pediatric cancer research at MCH--named "Bella's Promise."

"Bella's Promise" was created as a means to give children an equal opportunity at innovative research, access to family support as well as the educational programs.

Bella spent most of her life fighting against cancer, which she was diagnosed with at the age of four. But her battle, which was fought with grace, faith and continuous compassion, touched so many to "Live like Bella." Bella, with her family by her side, lost her battle with cancer on May 28.

The Live Like Bella Foundation was founded in memory of Bella. It funds innovative pediatric cancer research and more. For more information, visit www.LikeLikeBella.org.
