Art Takes Different Shapes At Art Basel
MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) -- Whether you look up or look down, art is all around. Not only in the fairs and museums. It's everywhere. Some free to see while others not so much.
At the Casina showroom In the Miami Design District, It's pricey art you can sit on. Limited edition CP chaise lounges are a collaboration between Casina ,the Italian furniture line and the unmistakable craftsmanship of Louis Vuitton . The chairs come with a price tag of $8,000.
At the Delano on South Beach, it's sexy art, celebrating the eye-opening works of famed fashion photographer Raphael Mazzucco who brought his models to exotic locations and created these magnificent resin photographic paintings shown in the lobby. His pieces start at $3o,000.
Janice Wong has the sweetest art going! Her edible pieces are on display all week at the Hotel Astor. The exhibit features chocolate and marshmallows and yes, you can look, touch and taste
"I got inspired by the space here at The Astor so I created paintings and sculptures and yes you can eat it" said Wong, after picking a piece off one of her paintings.
There's art to wear here at SLS Miami beach outside Hyde. It's the Pop Shop Deluxe on all week featuring one of a kind super cool jewelry with Indian diamonds and more by Haley style, Fashions by Haute Hippie and elegant kaftans by @Taj by Sabrina".
Over at The Betsy Hotel on Ocean Drive there is lots of art all around. Coming out of the vault and to be displayed Thursday night is millions of dollars worth of exotic Turkish Jewelry made by award-winning turning designer Stevan Bicacki.
And finally Art is bubbly. It's the Balloon Venus sculpture on display at 1111 Lincoln road created by famed artist Jeff Koons for Dom Perignon. It's priced at $20 thousand and fits a Dom bottle inside.
For sale and less pricey, is The Jeff Koons designed Dom Perignon vintage bottle itself for $399 sold at total wine stores.
