DANIA BEACH (CBSMiami) — Broward Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a car that plunged into a Dania Beach canal.
The car went into the canal which runs parallel to the 1200 block of Old Griffin Road shortly after 1:00 p.m Monday.

Deputies found the body of a woman inside the car.
“Initially the investigation began with a report of just a car going into the water and we were not aware that there was a driver in the vehicle, we were able to recover that person, once the dive team went in to recover the car,” said BSO Deputy Gina Carter.
