Fit Friday Previews This Weekend's Titan Challenge

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - Titans are taking over Tropical Park this Saturday.

Hundreds of competitors will run, climb, jump, and swim through the massive obstacle course spread throughout Tropical Park at 7900 Bird Road.

The course includes an eight mile run, and 29 obstacles.

More than just a run, this extreme obstacle race pushes competitors to the limit while enjoying a day of running, water crossings, climbing, jumping, crawling, unique obstacles and more.

It looks intense and seems like insurmountable obstacles, but founder Alan Abolila said it's a lot like life.

"I think you can relate it to life itself we all meet obstacles in our life and the trick is to overcome to persevere," said Abolila.

All future Titans can prepare themselves by taking on the Mini-Titan Challenge for kids between ages of 6-12 year. The kids version features scaled down obstacle courses ideally suited to challenge, inspire, motivate and empower children to become and stay fit.
