Cops Hope To Catch Energy Drink Thieves Red Handed

MEDLEY (CBSMiami) – Medley Police said it was more than one suspects doing, and possibly a pre-planned robbery, that enabled thieves to get away with thousands of dollars' worth of energy drinks.

Sometime between November 9 and November 11, police believe the $267,000 worth of Red Bull, a popular energy drink, was stolen from the warehouse at 10733 Northwest 123 Street in Medley.

Police said the suspects broke the lock at the front of the warehouse, which is used mainly to store Red Bull, and then ripped off the alarm.

Inside the warehouse, which they appear to have been for some time, police said the suspects used four forklifts in order to move the pallets of product.

At the exit, the suspects discarded 20 of pallets of Red Bull but managed to make it out with the $267,000 worth.

Police ask for anyone with any information, to contact 305-883-2047 or Crimestoppers at 305-471-TIPS.
