Relief Efforts For Typhoon Haiyan Victims

MIAMI (CBSMiami) -- Days after super-typhoon Haiyan slammed into the Philippines, whole cities are flattened, 10 thousand are feared dead, and survivors are desperate.For those looking to help the victims of the typhoon from right here in South Florida, you can try these organizations.

Habitat For Humanity

According to the group, more than 2,000 homes were destroyed  due to the typhoon. The organization is in the works of getting help to 30,000 families who need shelter repair kits to re-build their damaged houses. Their website lets you donate right from South Florida. To find out more, click here.

UNICEF 

Up to 4 million children could be affected by the typhoon, according to UNICEF. The site also offers online donations. For more information, click here.

American Red Cross 

According to the American Red Cross, they have volunteer rescue and relief teams providing assistance in the hardest hit communities. They are also helping in search and rescue efforts and handing out  food and relief supplies to survivors.  To help them in their relief efforts, click here.
