Steering You Right Through S. Florida Road Construction
FORT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) - It seems like a never-ending path of cones and crews on I-595; and this week expect up to three lanes closed eastbound between University Drive and Davie Road every night from 9pm to 5am.
Dolphin expressway is in the mix this week too.
The Westbound 836 ramp to 826 southbound will close nightly until Friday morning. You'll be detoured to the Palmetto northbound, get off on the new Northwest 25th Street ramp and jump on the Palmetto southbound ramp.
And expect gridlock on Red Road!
Lanes on Red Rd, or 57th Avenue, will be closed throughout the week; even during the day from Bird Rd to US 1.
Your alternate route would be to take Ludlum Road/67TH Ave. to get around the closure.
The Red Road construction is an ongoing project and there will be different closures weekly. The project is expected to be finished in July 2014.
