Customers Frustrated By Lack Of Parking At Trader Joe's

PINECREST (CBS4) – The store many South Floridian's have been waiting on for years finally opened in Pinecrest Friday.

However, getting in and out of the extremely popular specialty grocery store was more difficult than many people expected.

The store's 89 designated parking spots were not enough for the influx of shoppers.

Saturday and Sunday, customer's cars were towed from adjacent parking lots.

It frustrated customers hoping to check out the new store.

The 13,500 square foot store is on South Dixie Highway just south of Dadeland Blvd.

It's located in the 9200 block of South Dixie Highway, where a Borders bookstore used to be located.

This is the fifth Trader Joe's to open in Florida. Other stores are located in Naples, Sarasota, Gainesville and Tallahassee.
