FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami/AP) – Two men have admitted to helping the wife of Ponzi schemer Scott Rothstein sell jewelry which she hid from federal investigators.

Businessmen Patrick Daoud pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice and Eddy Marin pleaded guilty to obstruction of justice conspiracy.

Both face a maximum 20-year prison sentence, but they are likely to get far less time.

Kim Rothstein faces up to five years behind bars after admitting she hid and tried to sell about $1 million in jewelry bought with proceeds from her husband’s $1.2 billion scam.

Scott Rothstein is serving a 50-year prison sentence. The scheme involved investments in fake legal settlements.
