DUI Charged Dropped Against Tracy Mourning

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Prosecutors have dropped a driving under the influence charge against the wife of former Miami Heat superstar Alonzo Mourning.

Instead, Tracy Wilson-Mourning was cited for careless driving and ordered to attend classes about the dangers of drunken driving, and will also have to complete 50 hours of community service, according to CBS4 news partner The Miami Herald.

Mourning was arrested Feb. 8th near Old Cutler Road and San Servano Avenue on a single charge of DUI.

According to the arrest report, Mourning failed a roadside sobriety test administered after allegedly speeding in two different areas and not stopping for a red light.

The arrest report stated that after Mourning was stopped, she asked the officer, "What did I do sir?" The officer told her she had been speeding and she winked and said "I was going fast, wasn't I?"

When the arresting officer told her she had problems at an intersection, Mourning responded, "Didn't stop, did I?"

According to the arrest report, the officer smelled alcohol on her breath and after she failed a roadside sobriety test, she was arrested. The arrest report said Mourning was offered a breath alcohol test on the scene, but refused.
