FSU Loses Starting Safety Against BC

TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami/AP)- The Florida State Seminoles will be without a key member of the secondary when they battle Boston College Saturday.

Starting safety Tyler Hunter will be held out of Saturday's game due to a neck injury.

The junior was injured in the first half against Bethune-Cookman last week and did not return. Coach Jimbo Fisher said Thursday that freshman Jalen Ramsey will move to safety after starting the first three games at cornerback.

Hunter has eight tackles and an interception.

Defensive end Mario Edwards, Jr. is listed as probable with a hand injury after he was held out last week. The sophomore had seven tackles and a tackle for loss in the first two games. DeMarcus Walker started for Edwards, Jr.

Offensive lineman Ira Denson also is out with a shoulder injury. The freshman has played as a backup in all three games.
