Lane Closures Nightly This Week On Turnpike In Broward

FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) - If you take Florida's Turnpike between Sunrise Boulevard and I-595, you will may be inconvenienced this week for the installation of an overhead sign.

Transportation officials will close all northbound lanes Thursday from 1:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.   Drivers will be detoured off the Turnpike at I-595 (exit 54) and then directed east to northbound SR 7 / US 441 to Sunrise Boulevard. Drivers can then continue west on Sunrise Boulevard to the Florida's Turnpike entrance ramp.

On Friday, all southbound lanes will be closed from 1:30 a.m. to 4 a.m.  Drivers will be detoured off the Turnpike at Sunrise Boulevard (exit 58) and then directed east on Sunrise Boulevard to SR 7 / US 441. Drivers can then continue south to the Florida's Turnpike entrance ramp.
