FT LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Funeral services will be held this week for Broward Sheriff’s deputy Daniel Rivera.
On September 11th Rivera, 32, was on his way to work as a road patrol deputy when his car veered off of Interstate 95 and crashed into a tree. He died Saturday night at Broward Health North Hospital.
This Thursday, Sept. 26th, a visitation will be held at the First Baptist Church at 138 NE 1 Street in Pompano Beach. Visitation will be from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and then from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.
On Friday, at 11 a.m., there will be a funeral service at the Calvary Chapel Fort Lauderdale at 2401 W. Cypress Creek Road.
Rivera worked for the Broward Sheriff’s Office for 10 years. He leaves behind a 10-year-old son and a fiancée.
