PAHOKEE (CBSMiami) – Two people are in the hospital after say a single-engine plane crashed at a Pahokee airport Sunday afternoon.

Palm Beach County Fire Rescue said that the plane, a Velocity/RG, crashed as it was landing at the Palm Beach County Glades Airport.

When investigators arrived to the scene, the plane was upside down at the end of the runway.

The two people who were on board were flown by helicopter to St. Mary’s Medical Center after being evaluated on site.

The crash is still under investigation.
