Dadeland South Metrorail Closed For Two Weekends

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Miami-Dade Transit will be performing maintenance on the southern end of the Metrorail system over the next couple of weekends.

It means some services will be interrupted.

The Dadeland South station will be closed from Saturday, September 7 to Sunday, September 8 and again Saturday, September 14 to Sunday, September 15.

The maintenance will require single tracking where trains will need to use the same track while maintenance is completed on the other track.

The track changes will include a temporary suspension of service between Dadeland North and Dadeland South stations.

The dates for single tracking include Friday, September 6 and Friday, September 13.

It will take place between Douglas Road and Dadeland South Stations.

Saturday and Sunday, September 7–8 and Saturday and Sunday, September 14-15, free shuttle bus service will be provided every 15 minutes, all day, Saturday and Sunday between Dadeland South and Dadeland North Metrorail stations.

The Dadelound South bus terminal will remain open for weekend service, but anyone needing to park will need to use the parking garage because the parking lot will be closed.
