Rape Suspect Arrested In Little Havana

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – A man is accused of breaking into a Little Havana home and raping a man inside the home.

Miami Police said Marcos Mendoza, 24, was naked and appeared to be under the influence of alcohol or drugs when officers arrested him.

According to investigators, it appears Mendoza broke into the home in the 1100 block of SW 7th Street around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, August 31 and struggled with the victim before allegedly raping him.

A female roommate who lives at the home witnessed the attack and called police.

Medoza is charged with sexual battery, burglary, battery of an officer, and resisting arrest.

He is being held on bond and an immigration hold.
