Dania Beach Man Set Up, Robbed By Woman From Club

FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – A Dania Beach man looking for a little companionship ended up battered and bruised after he was reportedly set up by a woman he met in a club.

After a night of clubbing on July 21st, Eilan Taregan met up with a young Hispanic woman described as being in her mid-20s.

When he invited her back to his place in the 4100 block of Stirling Round he ran into a hitch. She said he had to bring her two male friends along.

The trio followed Taregan, 55, to his apartment in the woman's black late model Toyota Camry.

Once there, Taregan thought the men left and so he and the women started to drink.

When the woman went outside to smoke, Broward sheriff's investigators believe she left the front door unlocked so her two accomplices could get inside.

The two men barged in and then punched and kicked Taregan until he fell to the ground.

"She leave the door open," he said. "So I go to close the door, the same time they jump on me, beat the hell out of me."

After they tied up his hands and feet, they left him in a bathroom while they stole his money, several watches, phone, jewelry and wallet.

"Two on my legs, and my hand with belt, my legs, with the wire of the sports pants, my hands," said Taregan.

"The only reason I'm talking to you is I am happy I'm alive," he told CBS4's Ted Scouten. "This situation was very, very, very scary."

Anyone who may recognize the woman, or may have run into the trio at a club, is urged to call Broward Crime Stoppers (954) 493-TIPS (8477).

"They have to try to get them," he said. "Because those people who did that to me, I believe they do it again and again and again. "
