Miramar Man Charged In Wife's Death

MIRAMAR (CBSMiami) – A Miramar man has been charged with first degree murder in the death of his wife on Saturday.

Brian Symonette, 43, called police around 9:50 a.m. and said that his wife had been injured in their home in the 3400 block of Southwest 130th Avenue.  During the call Symonette reportedly admitted to the emergency dispatcher that he had shot her, according to the Sun-Sentinel.

When officers arrived they found the body of 51-year old Lisa Symonette.  Police said she had been shot.

Symonette, who made his first court appearance Sunday, was denied bond.
