Parts Of Davie Remain Under Boil Water Advisory
FT. LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – Parts of Davie remain under a precautionary boil water advisory.
Residents who receive their water bill from the Town of Davie are urged to boil their water for at least a minute before using it for cooking, making ice, washing dishes or drinking.
Water does not need to be boiled for bathing, laundry or watering of lawns.
The advisory was issued early Sunday morning after a supply valve was inadvertently closed which caused a low Water Pressure Incident at the Davie Water Treatment South Plant. The supply valve was immediately reopened, and the system returned to normal within 10 minutes.
The advisory is in effect until water samples test acceptable for bacteria levels.
