MIAMI (CBS4) – Two men are under arrest accused of throwing a fire bomb into a vacant home in Miami Wednesday night.
Miami Police spokesperson Kenia Reyes said an officer in the Tactical Response Unit saw the home at 1223 Northwest 37 Street engulfed in flames just before 6 p.m. As the officer called for Miami Fire-Rescue to respond to the scene, he was approached by a witness who said she saw who started the fire.READ MORE: Living Large: 1000 Museum Boasts Penthouse With South Florida's Only Helipad
The witness gave police the description of two men who appeared to have thrown a Molotov cocktail into the home. Shortly after, two men fitting the description were arrested nearby.READ MORE: 'To Police Well, You Have To Be Well Yourself:' Program Addresses Officer Mental Health
Officer Reyes said the suspects are being interviewed by burglary detectives.
