Truck Hits Fire Hydrant Causing Water Leak On Miller Drive

MIAMI ( CBSMiami) - A truck driving on Miller road Wednesday morning rolled over after hitting a fire hydrant which then caused a leak.

The incident occurred on Miller Drive and SW 113th Place around 6:30 a.m.

When the truck hit the fire hydrant, there was damage to water pipe which caused a water leak.

Normally, according Miami-Dade County Water and Sewer Department, when a hydrant is struck it breaks but there is no damage to the pipe.

The Wednesday morning accident caused damage to the pipe which needs to be repaired.

Miller Drive westbound from SW 112th and SW 117th is shut down for repairs.

WASD is working on repairing the road and it is expected to be fixed prior to Wednesday afternoon's rush hour traffic.
