MIAMI (CBS4) – The mystery of the blue streaks of light across South Florida’s sky Wednesday night has been solved.

No, it wasn’t a UFO or shooting stars.

It was a rocket.

NASA launched it from the Space Launch Complex-37 at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. The Delta IV was carrying a communication satellite for the U.S. military and its partners.

Australia paid for the spacecraft and its launch.
