Two Dead In Three Seperate Shootings

MIAMI (CBS4) - Two people were killed, three others injured in three separate shootings across Miami-Dade.

In South Miami, a teen was gunned down near his home in South Miami.

It happened just before 11 p.m. Sunday at Southwest 63rd Street and 59th Avenue.

The family of 15-year-old Bobby Gibson said he was shot several times a block from their house and tried to make it back home but collapsed on the sidewalk in front of a neighbor's house.

Neighbors said they heard at least 3 gunshots and found the teenager lying on the ground.

In Miami, police investigated a deadly shooting in Liberty City early Monday morning.  A man was shot and killed in his car at Northwest 12th Avenue and 61st Street.

In Miami Gardens, three people were injured in an early morning drive by shooting.

According to Miami Gardens police Detective Mike Wright around 6 a.m. a black Nissan was heading northbound on NW 2nd Avenue when a black SUV pulled up along side it.  A male then emerged from the SUV's sunroof and opened fire on the Nissan.

Investigators said stray bullets struck a Honda pilot.  One went through the windshield and driver's side window, the shattering glass slightly injuring its driver.

Police said as the SUV sped off, the Nissan veered west on 191st Street to about 7th Avenue where it came to a stop.

A female in the Nissan who was critically injured was taken to Memorial Regional Hospital in Hollywood; a second critically injured person was airlifted to the Ryder Trauma Center.  A third person injured in the shooting was treated on the scene and released.
