Tropical Storm Dorian Moving West In Atlantic Ocean

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Dorian, the fourth named Tropical Storm of the 2013 hurricane season, formed in the Atlantic Wednesday morning.

At 11 p.m., the center of Dorian was located about 615 miles west of the Cape Verde Islands. The storm had maximum sustained winds of 50 mph as it moved toward the west-northwest near 20 mph.

As Dorian moves over cooler waters Thursday, the storm may then gradually weaken.

There are no watches or warnings in effect for this storm at this time.
