As City Manager, Martinez’s department supervises about four thousand employees in more than a dozen departments. He also responds to questions and criticisms of the city’s five commissioners. It was said earlier this week that Martinez was expected to return to work in the near future.

“I am very confident that Johnny will experience a full recovery and will be returning to work as our City Manager” stated Mayor Regalado.
