Police Search For Leads In Deadly Weekend Shooting

NORTH MIAMI (CBSMiami) – North Miami Police are trying to find out who shot a woman as she was driving in North Miami.

According to Major Neal Cuevas: Nadine Noel, 37, was driving in the area of NW 130th Street and NW 12th Avenue Sunday afternoon when she was shot in the chest. She then crashed her 2010 Lincoln MKS into a fence.

Jeannide Raymon was inside the house when the car slammed into her front fence. She says it also hit a truck crushing the driver's side door.

"I say 'what happened?' The person don't come out and then I go take my phone I make a call and call 911," Raymon said.

By the time rescuers arrived, Noel was dead.

"When police take them to go to hospital they find out there is a shot in door in the car door," said Raymon.

Cuevas said it's still early in the investigation and police don't have many details.

"They don't know if she happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time or if she was targed. All we know right now is she was driving when she was shot," he explained.

Police are asking anyone who saw a white 2010 Lincoln MKS in the area Sunday afternoon to call them.

They say witnesses also identified a vehicle in the area that might be involved. That vehicle is described as possibly a black four door early model Nissan with dark tinted windows and faded right front bumper.

Anyone with information is asked to call crimestoppers at (305) 471 -TIPS.
