Ex-Nole Gets FSU SEC Championship Ring
TALLAHASSEE (CBSMiami) – The Florida State Seminoles went to the Orange Bowl last year after winning another Atlantic Coast Conference championship.
However, if you check the championship ring for one former 'Nole, FSU won the Southeastern Conference championship.
If you're confused, don't worry, so was former offensive tackle Menelik Watson when he got his championship ring. The ring is correct in all ways including having Florida State beating Georgia Tech and the game score was right.
But, if you look in the writing, it says around the ring that FSU was the 2012 SEC Champions.
FSU addressed the issue and said the ring was an isolated mistake by the ring company and that Watson will get a replacement ring.
