Man Allegedly Steals To Fund More Than A Dozen Disney World Trips

LAKE BUENA VISTA (CBSMiami/AP) - Disney World is described as the happiest place on earth and for one Illinois man, his apparent obsession with Disney has led him to one of the unhappiest places on earth, jail.

According to the Associated Press, Alexander N. Pena, 26, of Lincolnshire, Illinois, is being held on $500,000 bond over charges he stole credit card information from 50 customers and co-workers.

Pena would then allegedly use the number to buy gift cards and pre-paid credit cards. Most of the money allegedly paid for more than a dozen trips to Disney World.

Florida authorities say Pena made more than 15 different reservations at Walt Disney World Resort in five months, and took at least two Disney cruises earlier this year.

Pena faces charges of identity theft and money laundering.
