LAUDERHILL (CBS4) – A man is recovering, Friday, after rescue officials said an attempt to set-off fireworks went horribly wrong while celebrating the Fourth of July.

The man’s identity was not released, but Captain Gonzalez said he has second and third-degree burns to his face and he has hearing loss.
