Two Officers In President Obama's Motorcade Injured In Accident

MIAMI (CBS4) - Two motormen who were a part of President Barack Obama's motorcade were rushed to Jackson Memorial Hospital after they were involved in an accident Wednesday night.

The two officers, who have not been identified, were travelling southbound on Interstate 95 toward the westbound S.R. 836 ramp when the accident occurred.

City of Miami Fire Rescue Lt. Iggy Carroll said one officer suffered a shoulder injury and the other sustained road rash.

It is not known how the crash occurred or the motormen's exact role in transporting the president.

President Obama was in town Wednesday night to attend a fundraiser on Miami Beach.
