MIAMI (CBSMiami) – President Barack Obama traveled to Miami Wednesday to attend a private fundraising event for the Democratic National Committee.

According to CBS4 News partner the Miami Herald, Mr. Obama’s private fundraising event took place at the waterfront home of businessman and philanthropist Joseph W. Blount in Miami Beach.
General reception tickets to the DNC fundraiser were $1,000, those wishing to attend the “Host Clutch and Reception” paid $20,000. Maximum contribution: $32,400.

Obama has made 29 visits to Florida since taking office in 2009; 15 times during 2012 and only two so far in 2013, including a four-day golfing weekend, according to CBS News’ Mark Knoller, who keeps track of presidential visits.
