Heat & Storms Expected This Weekend

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – After almost a week of gray skies, most of South Florida woke up to the welcome sight of sunshine Friday morning.

Tropical Storm Andrea is now located in South Carolina with winds of 45 miles per hour and moving quickly up the East Coast. However, it has left a tail of moisture across South Florida.

Thus, we expect to see another round of thunderstorms this afternoon with some localized flooding. But, the weather will continue to gradually improve over the weekend with more sun and less storms on Saturday.

By Sunday, the weather will be back to normal with typical sun, clouds and spotty storms. It will stay hot and humid for the next several days with highs near 90 and feel like temperatures in the high 90s.
