Businesses Bank On Big Crowds For Game 7

MIAMI (CBS4) – While the Miami Heat get ready to take on the Indiana Pacers in Game 7 of the Eastern Conference Finals, businesses around the AmericanAirlines Arena in Downtown Miami are getting ready for a crowd fueled boom.

"We're really excited for Game 7. It will be really good for all the business around the arena," said Erick Silva who works at Doma Polo Bistro across from the Triple A.

The restaurant opened last summer. Silva said they get a boost every time the Heat play.

"We've been busy, slammed every time before the game and after the game so Game 7 will be more busy than ever," said Silva.

Silva added that the restaurant draws in Heat fans with special Heat themed cocktails and a big screen TV for those who don't have tickets to the game.

A block away Miss Yip Chinese Bistro is also expecting a busy night and the business benefits stretch beyond downtown. Sports bars around South Florida are planning watch parties.

Carolina Ale House in Doral is planning for a full house Monday night. Employees there said the bigger the game, the bigger the crowd and the better the bottom line.

"It's amazing. It's amazing how much it helps our business out," said Andy Dunkes.

Fans with tickets to the game said they'll definitely spend some money around South Florida.

"Everywhere," said Seth Penalver, "Enjoy the moment. Everybody's got Heat gear, everybody is ready, you can feel the atmosphere."
