Upcoming Road Closures For 826-836 Interchange Reconstruction Project

MIAMI (CBSMiami) - South Florida drivers, with plans on using the SR 826 and SR 836 in the next upcoming days, should make note of closures set for contractors to work on the overhead bridge.

On Monday June 3rd, all northbound SR 826 lanes will be closed from north of SW 8th Street to SR 836 between the hours of 11 PM and 5 AM.

Drivers seeking alternative routes can enter the SR 836 entrance ramp just north of SW 8th Street, exit at NW 72ND Avenue, go north and access the westbound SR 836 ramp and stay right to enter SR 826 northbound.

On Monday, June 3rd, and Tuesday, June 4th, between the hours of 11 PM to 5 AM, all eastbound SR836 lanes will be closed just east of NW 87th Avenue.

As an alternative route, drivers can enter the southbound SR 826 ramp, continue southbound and exit at SW 8th Street, then access the northbound SR 826 ramp to eastbound SR 836.

Wednesday June 5th, with Thursday June 6th as an alternate, all westbound SR 836 lanes will be closed west of NW 57th Avenue between the hours of 11 PM and 5 AM. The westbound SR 836 double loop ramp that leads to the SR 826 south will also be closed.

Drivers going westbound on the SR 836 can enter the NW 72nd Avenue/826 ramp lanes, go north on SR 826, exit at NW 25th Street, continue west and enter the SR 826 south and access the westbound SR 836 ramp.

For westbound drivers on the SR 836 going to SR 826 south can enter the NW 72nd Avenue/826 ramp lanes, go north on SR 826, exit at NW 25th Street, go west and access the SR 826 south ramp.

Do note that the schedule may change due to bad weather or other unforeseen conditions.
