Wheelchair Bound Man Injured In Hit & Run Accident
LAUDERHILL (CBS4) – A man in a wheelchair is in serious condition after he was hit by a car Wednesday morning in Lauderhill.
Lauderhill police said the 57-year old man, who was struck near NW 56th Avenue and Inverrary Boulevard, lives in an assisted living facility near the accident scene. Hewas taken to Broward Health Medical Center with serious injuries.
The driver of the Ford Taurus left the scene after the accident. The car was spotted about three miles away at NW 79th Avenue and NW 44th Street and the driver was taken into custody.
Police have not released the name of the driver or the injured man.
