BSO Looking For Thieves That Targeted Domino Game

NORTH LAUDERDALE (CBSMiami) – What started out as a simple game of dominoes ended up with an armed robbery at a North Lauderdale business and the Broward Sheriff's Office is now asking for the public's help identifying the crooks.

According to the BSO, the robbery happened at DN Consultants on the 6000 block of Kimberly Blvd. in North Lauderdale. The game organizer buzzed in an armed man without realizing he was coming to rob the facility.

BSO said as the victim opened the door, he saw the armed man and they struggled to shut the door.  The victim got a break when the gunman's pistol fell down his big baggy pants.  As he was reaching down his pants for the gun, the victim was able to run and alert the others.   The victims managed run into a small storage room while the gunmen were looking for them.

"It was like a pack of sardines, in a very tight, tight space," said BSO spokeswoman Keyla Concepcion.  "But they managed to squeeze in there, it was either that or have to be confronted by armed robbers."

Lucky for the victim, the back wall of the room where they were hiding was actually a garage door that went outside.

They were all able to run to safety.  Meanwhile, the clueless crooks were still inside knocking on doors in the office, trying to find them.

For all their trouble, the two suspects ended up taking a cell phone and leaving through the front door.

The duo may be responsible for a separate robbery on January 12, 2013 as well.  If you have information, call Broward Crime Stoppers at (954) 493-TIPS.
