Grandson Of Hilton Hotel Founder Arrested In Boca

BOCA RATON (CBSMiami) – A South Florida philanthropist with a famous last name was arrested Sunday and charged with domestic battery.

Conrad Hilton III is the 53-year-old grandson of the founder of the Hilton hotel chain.

Hilton, according to a Boca Raton police report, was at Abe and Louie's at 2200 Glades Road when a police officer witnessed him stand up from a seated position at the bar, and grab and push his girlfriend.

The girlfriend didn't want to talk to police about the incident and told them he was a good man but was "slightly intoxicated."

Hilton was booked into the Palm Beach County Jail and released without bond after making his first appearance before a Palm Beach County judge.

Hilton, of West Palm Beach, is a cousin of socialite Paris Hilton. His father, Conrad Hilton, Jr., was briefly married to Elizabeth Taylor before his marriage to a Texas oil heiress, Patricia McClintock.

He lists his occupation as philanthropist and sits on the governing board of the Conrad Hilton Foundation according to its website.

Hilton was released from the Palm Beach County Jail on his own recognizance.
