MIAMI (CBSMiami) – You can change the look of a photo with a filter, you can add a location and a hashtag, and soon Instagram users will be able “tag.”
On Thursday, Instagram announced a new feature, “Photos of you,” that will allow its users to tag not only friends, but basically any account the user follows.
Just last year, Facebook purchased the app for $1 billion. Today, the popular social media tool boasts over 100 million users.
In addition to being able to “tag” people, users will have a “Photos of You” section added to their profiles.
