LAUDERDALE LAKES (CBSMiami) – A Lauderdale Lakes father and son were hospitalized after a shooting late Saturday afternoon.

It happened at the Whispering Pines apartment complex in the 4500 block of NW 36th Street.

The Broward Sheriff’s Office said the received a call about the shooting around 4 p.m. When deputies arrived they found a 25-year old man and his 50-year old father suffering from gunshot wounds.

Both were taken to Broward Health Medical Center. The 25-year old was in critical condition and his father suffered non-life threatening wounds, according to the sheriff’s office.

A third man who was shot was dropped off at Florida Medical Center where he was treated and released and is now one of three subjects being detained by detectives.

Investigators have not released the names of the men who were shot.

The sheriff’s office said the shooting was the result of an ongoing dispute between the three men.
