CBS4 Team Member Crowned Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run Winner

MIAMI (CBS4) - Out of the thousands of runners that raced to the finish line of Thursday's Mercedes-Benz Corporate Run, a member of CBS4's family won first place.

The event went off without hitch. Ronnie Holassie, 41, finished the 3.1 mile race through the streets of downtown Miami in 15-minutes and 26-seconds.

In the wake of the Boston Marathon bombings Holassie, an elite runner, told CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald, "it was a very emotional for me in the beginning, but I really wanted to win this one to show how resilient we are."

Holassie ran wearing a T-shirt, along with other members of the CBS4 team, imprinted with the words "Boston, we stand with you."

But this isn't Holassie's first time running the Corporate Run. In fact, running it over 20 times, he's won the Corporate Run more than any other runner in the history of the event.

CBS4 congratulates Ronnie Holassie and the rest of the runners of this year's event.
