Bicyclist Hit By 2 Cars In Deerfield Beach

DEERFIELD BEACH (CBSMiami) – One person is dead after a multi-vehicle bicycle crash Friday morning in Deerfield Beach.

The accident happened at NE 48th Street and Dixie Highway just before 7 a.m.

Police said a man on a bicycle was hit by two cars. The first car stopped, but the second one kept going after hitting the bicyclist.

The bicyclist was taken to North Broward Medical Center where he later died.

A witness saw the second, dark-colored car, leave the scene, said BSO Public Information Officer Dani Moschella.

The Broward Sheriff's Office are still at the scene trying to figure out what happened.
