Gate Crashers Big Problem At Ultra Music Fest

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – The booming bass of the Ultra Music Festival was felt again Sunday across Downtown Miami.

Crowd control has been an issue for Miami police as they worked to round up gate crashers who tried to force their way into Bayfront Park with tickets. Hopping fences were a popular method and three people even tried to sneak in by swimming across Biscayne Bay.

Another issue has been the theft of the pricey tickets. One woman who had her tickets stolen said she and her friend tried to stop the thief to no avail.

"Everyone was screaming 'stop him, stop him' and he just kept going. A few other people tried to stop him but he was like a ninja he was so fast," said the woman.

Miami Fire Rescue said they handled about 50 calls Saturday and took 12 people to the hospital, mostly for ankle injuries.

The festival will wrap up Sunday night and resume next weekend.

For those who can't attend the music event, it's being streamed live on YouTube. Click here for the live YouTube feed.
