FORT LAUDERDALE (CBS4) –  Former Broward School Board member Beverly Gallagher is out of prison after serving her sentence on corruption charges.

Federal Bureau of Prison records show Gallagher was released on March 8, according to CBS4 News partner The Miami Herald.

Gallagher was arrested in 2009 amid allegations she took bribes from undercover agents posing as government contractors. She pleaded guilty and was sentenced to 37 months in prison.

According to the paper, Gallagher was transferred to a Miami-area halfway house to serve the remainder of her term.
