A Chilly Weekend On The Way

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Thursday got off to a cloudy and cool start across South Florida.

Most places saw temperatures in the 60s with a few inland areas even dipped down to the upper 50s.

After a few warm and steamy days, CBS4 meteorologist Lissette Gonzalez said we are finally back to normal since the average low this time of year is 63 degrees.

Throughout the day we'll see pleasant highs in the upper 70s. Our average high this time of year is around 79 degrees. With a forecast high of 76 degrees Thursday afternoon we may be slightly below our average. A few showers can't be ruled out since we have a stalled frontal boundary to our South and some lingering moisture around.

Thursday Tonight into Friday lows will fall to the low 50s inland and the upper 50s near the coast so a jacket or sweater may come in handy. Friday's highs will be comfortable in the low 70s. Lows will dip down into the 50s and upper 40s Friday night into Saturday morning.

Highs will be in the mid to upper 60s on Saturday afternoon with a chance of showers throughout the weekend. Sunday morning will be even colder with some inland areas dropping down to the mid-40s. Highs will be in the 60s, some spots may only see highs in the 50s. This weekend will be cold, cloudy and windy with the chance of some scattered showers here and there.
