S Dade Dirt Bike Theft Caught On Camera

MIAMI (CBSMiami) – Five guys who used a stolen truck to help themselves to nearly half a dozen dirt bikes from a south Miami-Dade shop were caught on camera.

Now police are hoping the surveillance tape will help them solve the crime.

The break in at Riva Motorsports and Marine happened around 3 a.m. on the morning of January 9th.

Five guys used a stolen Ford 250 pick up truck to smash through the security shutter to get into the business at 11995 SW 222nd Street. Once inside they stole four Yamaha dirt bikes and one Suzuki dirt bike.

The security cameras captured them loading several of the bikes onto the back of the truck and taking off.

The Ford was later found in Opa-locka. The bikes, valued at $31,000, are still missing.

Anyone with information about the burglary is urged to call Crime Stoppers at (305) 471-TIPS.
